Метод тестирования (измерения), посредством которого данные характеристики заданного класса оптических волокон или волоконно-оптических кабелей измеряются способом, согласованным с определением этих характеристик, и который дает результаты, которые воспроизводимы, сопоставимы с результатами эталонного метода тестирования и пригодны для практического использования (МСЭ-T G.650.2).
